If you ever get the opportunity to travel to the Green River in Utah, you will not be disappointed.  This is a world-class fishery and some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever been around.  In my humble opinion the best time to travel to the Green is during the slower winter months.  You may pay for it in cold fingers and toes, but it is definitely worth it as most people wouldn’t dare do a drift-fishing trip in the dead of winter.  I would also suggest staying in Dutch John, just a few miles away from river access.  There are several great guide services in town, but for my money, I wouldn’t go without Old Moe guide service.  My Dad and I have made a tradition out of fishing there at least once a year (we live in KS) and the first guide that we request is Danny.  He will put you on fish when everyone else would be packing it in.

Have you ever fished the Green River?  If so, leave us a comment on what your thoughts were of this astounding fishery.
