Below is an introductory checklist for what to bring along on a fly fishing trip. By no means is this list exhaustive, but it is a great start and is what I carry with me on every fly fishing excursion.
What to Wear (Spring)
- long underwear, top and bottom
- long sleeve shirt or turtleneck
- heavy shirt
- fleece jacket
- gloves (neoprene preferably)
- wool cap
- Wool socks
- silk liner socks
- wading socks (with built-in gravel guards)
- waders (neoprene or breathable with fleece pants)
- wading pants
- wading boots
- gravel guards (if your waders do not have them built in)
What to Wear (Summer)
- hat with brim preferably
- short sleeve shirt
- microfiber shorts
- wading sandals
- wading boots
- wading socks
- waders (when the temperature gets warm enough you can leave these behind and wet wade)

- quick release lanyard for net
- polarized sunglasses
